Certification
Mears' combination of Engineering and Technical Services, together with our Construction Services, allows us to provide a focus on Pipeline Integrity and offer turnkey services for a variety of projects. Mears' experienced technical staff includes Registered Professional Engineers; NACE International Certified Corrosion Specialists, Cathodic Protection Specialists, and Technicians (Cathodic Protection Levels 1, 2, and 3). Mears technicians are also ATSSA certified in Traffic Control.
Mears supports participation of its staff in the NACE technical committees that develop Standards, Recommended Practices and participates in various presentations at technical seminars on Pipeline Integrity organized by NACE, INGAA, AGA, and others.
Mears has an extensive Operator Qualification Compliance Program. Employees are trained, evaluated and qualified by INGAA, MEA and NCCER for Covered Tasks required for pipeline remediation and corrosion projects.
Equipment Certification
The Mears Integrity Solution’s equipment is calibrated according to manufactures’ recommendations or one (1) year, whichever is the shorter time period. Mears also performs daily checks on the majority of their equipment, volt meters, data loggers, and soil resistivity meters.
