Turnkey Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment (ICDA)
Mears is a provider of turnkey ICDA services that comply with the CFR 49 Part 192 regulations and the NACE Standard Practices. Quite often, ICDA and ECDA are completed in parallel to take advantage of similar data gathering steps. Mears has a well established approach to data gathering, evaluation, and presentation that is focused on gathering quality data and providing a quality evaluation. The key outcomes of the Pre-Assessment step are to gather data, assess feasibility, create credible regions, and document the findings in a clear and concise manner.
Mears is well versed with the application of the GRI and NACE approaches to flow modeling. The key to applying any flow model in a manner that will provide credible results is to fully understand the flow characteristics of the pipeline. Through development of advanced in-house GIS and RAP Sheet evaluation tools, Mears can make use of many different types of elevation data to assist with the process of selecting critical angle points along a pipeline. In true turnkey fashion, Mears can assist with application of the ICDA process in its entirety or specific steps as needed.
