Beaver Street Wetlands Crossing - Jacksonville, FL

This 14-inch diameter steel casing was installed to prevent disruption to a wetland area located along an existing utility right-of-way. Due to FDEP permits, the work area for the drilling rig side had to be greatly reduced, hence limiting the crews ability to move around. Though the work space was limited, the crew was able to exit the 3,800' crossing on target at the end of the bore. Reaming operations were completed with one forward ream to allow the drilling fluids to return to the drill rig side of the crossing. A swab pass was performed to condition the reamed hole for pullback operations. Once the drilled hole was conditioned, pipe pullback operations commenced the following day and lasted for one shift. After casing installation, the HDPE sanitary force main pipe was pulled into the casing with the drilling rig components.
