New Data Collection Hardware
Mears’ Data Acquisition Meter was developed to collect all ECDA data simultaneous with Trimble Sub-Meter accurate GPS. Presently all ECDA tests performed are with different data collectors. Each data stream has to be integrated separately. Some of the features of the new Data Acquisition Meter is the ability to read AC and DC simulations during field surveys, capability of four pin soil resistivity readings and higher accuracy CIS then all current CIS data collectors. It will also take full wave prints such as DSO (Digital Storage Oscilloscope). We are in the process of field testing the meter. Mears continues to be a leader in the industry which provides the best quality service for our customers.

Mears’ Training Facility Recent Innovation - New AC Interference Testing Plan
Mears has been working on an AC interference testing plan for the Mears’ training and testing facility. We have a simulation of AC interference and AC mitigation on some of our pipes in the facility. By testing induced AC on a metallic structure in a tank, Mears plans to simulate long term exposure to HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current). These tests will assist in improving HVAC remediation in the future.
